School ends next week on June 30, many kids are going away on summer holidays and Coach Eirek and Frunty’s classmate, Albert will be moving to their home country, Norway. Frunty enjoyed playing a bit of organised football each week, most times in wet patch of grass, but today was dry, sunny and warm - perfect for our picnic of cold roast chicken and champagne. Everyone contributed something and the French, of course, had their cheese and wine. It was a little sad to say goodbye to Albert’s family but when many of your friends work in the foreign service, then you know at the beginning that they will move on. Best of luck to them and we’ll just have to find a new football coach.

We came back late from Frunty’s usual Thursday soccer practice because it was the last one of the season and so we had a grand picnic to celebrate.
