Today, both Frunty and Pit went on all-day school excursions. Frunty went to a local amusement/theme park called BelleWaerde and Pit spent the day at the farm du Moulin de Caillet, hopefully not around any sick swines! The boys were extra excited to get to school and board their buses. These places are each at least a 30-45 minute drive, so we put in a special request to get Pit in the front row so he wouldn't get sick, and we warned the teachers about his tendency for motion-sickness. News just in! The boys have come home as I type this and I discovered that Pit saw the "bad black pig" and that he rode a small horse, he even wore a helmet. Unfortunately, Frunty had to spend 3 hours in traffic coming home! Apparently he says he slept but I have no memory of the last time Frunty ever took an afternoon nap, no matter how exhausted he has been. His disposition seems to indicate that he's telling the truth! At Bellewaerde, they walked to see lions and tigers and went inside Houdini's Magic House and took a ride on the Bengal Rapid River. Frunty says he pants and backpack got totally soaked! The fun is not over, we're off to the neighbours now for a BBQ. Luckily, it's one of Belgium's rare sunny days, but it's still quite chilly.
