When there is good weather in Brussels, everyone seems to take advantage of spending time out-of-doors and having BBQs. This weekend so far has been exceptionally exceptional with clear skies and no forecasts of the usual overcast skies. Even though we stayed until 11:30pm at yesterdays BBQ (both boys were awake and in fine form all night, although Frunty did report that he had potato chips and 4 drinks for dinner...) it seems we just can't say no to another BBQ. This time, Frunty did have food with a higher nutritional content - broccoli and carrots, but refused the meat. Pit, on the other hand goes the opposite way and has no more problem eating the chicken and lamb but needs extra convincing for his veggies. Instead of marshmallows, the boys roasted pineapple-strawberry skewers and I roasted almond nougat - yumm! Shoes and socks came off and the grass felt nice beneath our bare feet.
