Happy Easter

We had a really fun Easter yesterday which started the day before with decorating eggs that Amy dyed when we were out exploring a little island called Pulau Ubin. We got home after a day of cycling and experiencing torrential, equatorial downpours on this island that looks like Singapore did in the 60s before development hit like a tsunami.

Easter morning we woke up to a special breakfast: eggs and toast, a gigantic banana fried up and an Easter egg hunt. It continued to rain but that did not slow us down. After a rest and some champagne, we headed over to Market 58 for massages and a sushi lunch then jumped into two cabs and headed over to the Singapore Zoo and Night Safari. All 8 of us. We had a great time. Everyone loves the native performance at night. The fire breathers are incredible. Amy seemed happy to have joined us.

Today we met the Wiaceks in Little India for lunch and have come home to do homework. When they get back, we'll be heading to the pool if it doesn't start raining again (rainy season has really begun...three months late but whatever!) before going out for Thai tonight! Never a dull moment.

We also enjoyed Easter "hellos" from family on all sides. Wish you all could have been here to enjoy our first Easter in Singapore. But let's not be greedy...at least we had the Wiaceks which is a big gift in itself.
