Today is Good Friday. Growing up, I was encouraged to be sad and morose and understandably so given the significance of this religious day. However, when you only have one week with your family, you have to take advantage of your time together to have fun...and that is just what we did! We took off to the little island, Sentosa, connected to Singapore by a monorail. If you have been reading our blog, you'll have seen it before.
There is lots to do on Sentosa including the almost completed Universal Studios. We did not go there but instead, directly to the luge where Daniel beat us all, twice! The second time, he had Pit between his legs but that did not slow him down as he rocketed his way down the mountain! At the top of the mountain, we stopped between rides to experience the Extreme Log Ride. This time, Pit exclaimed that he was not scared! We also saw a 4D pirate movie which was corny but perfect for little ones. It was pretty funny actually, starring none other than Lesley Nielson. Frunty laughed his head off! It's always fun to sit beside him.
Resting at the beach and enjoying sushi proved to be a good break before heading back to the mainland. As I type, two of my boys are asleep, and the other four are on the east coast with a bucket of beer and no doubt, a plate full of satays. My dad always argued, "why be sad on Good Friday because we know what happens on Sunday."
Happy Easter everyone!
